Courtesy of some random web image, this is the closest I can get to photos of my new ride. '03 Hyundai Elantra. EDIT: At first I was amused at buying a car whose make I couldn't pronounce, but... thanks, Wikipedia! The word "hyundai" means "modernity" in Korean, and is pronounced [çʌn.dɛ]). It is often pronounced as [hʌn.de(j)] in North America, as [haɪ.ʌn.daɪ] in the United Kingdom, as [hi.jʌn.dæɪ] in Australia, and as [ɣɛɴdai] in Japan. Early American advertising for the Hyundai Excel car informed readers that the name, "rhymes with Sunday".Thoughts: Solid, good handling, nice turn radius. Factory speakers/sound system is good but there is a TAPE DECK and no cd player. What is this Cassette Tape you speak of? Huh. Good thing I didn't toss out all my old ones. Comfy seats, good spots to rest your arms. No power locks, but an alarm (that works!) and a horn (that works!). Overall: I'm happy with it. It ain't the latest & greatest but cars are overrated, especially when you can't get the one you want. Name and photos to follow. WOO! Feeling: happy
